Academic, Technical, Nonfiction, and Business Editing
Is your manuscript in LaTeX? I will edit it in LaTeX with change tracking using Overleaf. Editing directly in LaTeX lets me see how my changes affect the formatted document, and it keeps you from having to rekey or merge my changes from a marked-up Word or PDF file.
In addition to my normal copyediting services, I can help resolve compilation and formatting issues. I review the LaTeX error logs to ensure there are no hidden issues, such as missing backslashes before ampersands or dollar signs.
If your references need to be reviewed, I’ll verify your BibTeX, BibLaTeX, or bibitem entries.
What if my manuscript is not in Overleaf?
I use Overleaf for all LaTeX editing. If your project is not already in Overleaf, I can upload your project tree for you and invite you to the project there. After you’ve reviewed the edits, you can download a zip of the edited project to import back into your environment.
What if I have Overleaf’s free plan?
To use change tracking in Overleaf, the project owner must have a paid Overleaf account. If you have a free account, I’ll copy the project to my account and invite you to it. Once you’ve finished your review of my edits, I’ll help you move the project back to your account.
